Steph Gamauf

Innovation Consultant

Steph is an Innovation Consultant with a background in youth and community development and experience in centring communities’ voice in decision-making.

Over the past six years, she has championed collaborative ways of working across businesses, the community sector and the Council in Lambeth. Her work included founding a learning exchange programme across community spaces and supporting Lambeth Council in developing new approaches to include young people’s voice in the regeneration of Central Brixton. She has extensive experience working for charities and social enterprises, including the public-participation think tank Involve, High Trees Community Development Trust, New Economy co-operative Stir to Action and Impact Hub Brixton, where she facilitated open space events and community forums to explore collaborative solutions to neighbourhood development.

Steph is passionate about improving the lives of young people through place-based collaboration and partnership working. She led on the development of the youth consortium Building Young Brixton, exploring borough-wide approaches to addressing youth violence and unemployment whilst centring the experience of those affected by it. Before moving to the UK, Steph worked with the UN Settlement Programmes in Kenya and delivered frontline youth services for children and young people in Tijuana, Mexico.

Outside of work, Steph is a keen football player and proud teammate of the Peckham-based football club Rye or Die.
