Anna Mouser
Senior Associate
Anna brings a diverse range of experience to Innovation Unit, including a background in public policy, leading systems change programmes and as a startup founder. She has worked on issues ranging from climate change to pensioner poverty and community volunteering. The guiding thread has been a curiosity and passion for what enables positive change in society and what keeps things stuck as they are. She is fascinated by how personal change interacts with organisational and system change.
Prior to joining the Innovation Unit Anna was the vaccines policy lead at the Wellcome Trust during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her past achievements include advocacy work which supported the first older people’s pension in Zanzibar, the removal of 200 million tonnes of carbon from the EU emissions trading scheme and running what was at the time, the largest volunteering day in care homes across London for the startup she founded, Spots of Time. Anna started her career on the government fast stream programme working on environmental standards in housing, an experience which keeps her grounded in the challenges facing those operating within complex systems.
Alongside working with the Innovation Unit Anna is working on two immersive programme to support people to move beyond incrementalism in meeting the challenges in public services, and to create ways to sustain momentum for more radical change. She is also continuing to support the WHO Immunisation Agenda for 2030 with a focus on how countries can have greater involvement in global processes. Anna is a member of the Point People and has been a regular mentor on the Year Here scheme.
