Justice is not experienced in the same way for everyone. People of colour, people with experience of care and people experiencing poverty are proportionally more likely to be victims of crime.
We want to prevent people entering the justice system and reduce reoffending by supporting experts and those with lived experience of justice and violence to learn from one another about their good practice and insights for overcoming challenges.
- We have co-designed the Always Hope approach [link] to ensure that better post-custody support is in place for the 25% of our prison population with experience of care
- Through community co-design, peer research and evaluation, we are supporting Violence Reduction Units [link] to increase their impact in local communities
Our approach
We work collaboratively to deeply understand how we can transform systems of inequality into systems of justice.
"It is a privilege to be involved with such an inspiring project which is delivering real change to young people across the region."Senior Probation Officer, Coventry
