About Steph

Steph Gamauf is a Senior Innovation Consultant at Innovation Unit. She is passionate about communities' power to dismantle persistent inequalities through community-led innovation.

At Innovation Unit, Steph's work embodies a commitment to fostering collaboration, building bridges across sectors, and empowering voices who are often missing from decision-making spaces. In all her work, she aims to create the conditions for meaningful change by enabling strong relationships and collaborative practices across public, private, and third-sector organisations.

Steph's passion for this work is grounded in a professional background deeply rooted in the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector. Her experience with organisations such as Involve, Impact Hub Brixton, Stir to Action, and High Trees Community Development Trust has equipped her with a profound understanding of community dynamics, grassroots development, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. This foundation, including her leadership in developing 'Building Young Brixton', a VCSE consortium focused on tackling youth violence and unemployment, informs her current practice at Innovation Unit.

Beyond work, Steph is often found practising yoga, hiking, or exploring nature. She has recently moved to North East London, where she’s enjoying getting more involved in her local community.
