About Sebastien
Sebastien is a community organiser and educator committed to tackling inequality through collective action and people-powered change.
At the heart of Sebastien’s work is a belief that communities hold the wisdom and strength to shape fairer futures. He is driven by a deep commitment to social justice, and by the conviction that lasting change happens when communities work together to build the power they need to take action together for the common good. What gets him out of bed each morning is the opportunity to help communities build power, nurture leadership, and create solutions rooted in their lived experience.
Professionally, Sebastien brings two decades of experience as both a teacher and community organiser. His work has spanned South, East, and North London, and he now supports alliances across fourteen towns and cities in the South of England and Wales. He previously founded and led La Fontaine Academy, and later served as Executive Headteacher of Gesher School. His contributions to civic life have been recognised with a London Community Champion Award and the Inspirational Educator Award from the Company of Educators.
Outside of work, Sebastien lives in Rochester and loves travelling, photography, and spending time with his young son.
