About Sarah
Sarah joined Innovation Unit as a Project Coordinator and Researcher in June 2024, and works across projects focused on health inequalities and community climate action.
Sarah is driven by a commitment to a fairer, more just world - one where people have the freedom and support to live the lives they value. She joined IU to help reduce systemic inequalities and support community-led change. She’s especially interested in how local systems can adapt and shift in ways that honour both social and environmental justice, and how research and storytelling can amplify the voices that too often go unheard.
Sarah brings a background in research, communications and project management, with experience spanning academia, the health sector, charities and private organisations. She is currently studying for a Master’s in Global Development, with a focus on Migration, Mobility and Displacement, which informs her interest in sustainable, equitable futures - and how global insights can help shape local action.
Outside of work, Sarah lives in Manchester and regularly escapes to the Peak District where she grew up, to walk and recharge in the hills. She enjoys regular yoga classes, is currently learning Spanish, and is often planning her next trip.
