About Sarah
Sarah is an Innovation Consultant, working across Innovation Unit’s learning programmes on community powered change.
Sarah is driven by a commitment to a fairer, more just world - one where people have the freedom and support to live the lives they value. She joined Innovation Unit to help reduce systemic inequalities and support community-led change. She’s especially interested in how local systems can adapt and shift in ways that honour both social and environmental justice, and how research and storytelling can amplify the voices that too often go unheard.
Sarah brings a background in research, communications and project management, with experience spanning academia, charities and private organisations. She recently completed a Master’s in Global Development, with a focus on Migration, Mobility and Displacement, which informs her interest in sustainable, equitable futures - and how global insights can help shape local action.
Outside of work, Sarah lives in Manchester and regularly escapes to the Peak District where she grew up, to walk and recharge in the hills. She enjoys regular yoga classes, is currently learning Spanish, and is often planning her next trip.
