
About Laura
Laura is the HR Manager at Innovation and leads on all things people and culture. She is responsible for helping to strengthen and sustain an inclusive, supportive and values-led culture where people feel able to do their best work.
Laura works at Innovation Unit because she believes that organisations can be powerful places for change, not just through what they deliver, but through how they operate and how people are supported and valued. She is driven by the idea that creating meaningful social impact begins with people feeling heard, appreciated and able to contribute fully. She is particularly interested in workplace equity, employee wellbeing and the practical things that help teams to thrive.
Before Innovation Unit, Laura was HR Manager and Consultant at PPL. She has also worked in strategic and operational HR roles across a number of other values-driven organisations, with experience in employee relations, policy development, developing performance and appraisal processes, culture change and embedding values and equity into everyday practice.
Laura holds a degree in Human Resource Management and is an Associate Member of the CIPD.
Laura lives in Cornwall with her family, where she volunteers with a local marine conservation group supporting community projects. She is happiest by the sea and enjoys paddleboarding, dog walks and learning about our natural environment.
