About Greg
Greg is a specialist in the design and management of innovative initiatives to improve policy, practice and performance in the public realm. He set up the What Works Centres for Ageing Better and Children’s Social Care; and he worked with Nesta for ten years on a series of national innovation programmes, in which he specialised in the development of business models and business cases to help public bodies, VCS organisations and social enterprises with the seeding and scaling of community-led approaches to innovation. He also has extensive experience of working in multi-sector environments on the generation of strategic solutions to complex problems: most recently, he deployed these skills in the development of the value proposition and funding model for Greater Manchester's proposed International Centre for Action on Healthy Ageing.
Greg worked previously as a Strategy Partner in Accenture and EY, the interim CEO of Ageing Better, a senior civil servant in the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury, an associate director of the Audit Commission, and an officer and elected Councillor in local government.
