About Fran

Fran is passionate about using co-design and practice innovation methodologies to transform systems to be better for the people they serve. She is deeply committed to centering lived experience. Fran believes in taking a holistic and relational approach which centres human experiences and connections to drive system change. She enjoys working with teams to empower practitioners to develop services that work well for the people they serve, connect with their communities and create meaningful and joyful jobs.

Fran started out as an Outreach Worker working with people who are rough sleeping. She has held various community roles facilitating communication and collaboration across VCSE and statutory services and centering lived experience to improve care and support pathways in mental health, housing and justice systems. Fran has a degree in Geography where she explored themes of inequality, community and belonging, she brings this into her work at Innovation Unit. 

Fran lives in Leeds and outside of work enjoys tending to her allotment, spending time with friends and family and getting out in nature.
