About Cath

Cath, our Director of Innovation, has been with Innovation Unit since 2016. The golden thread running throughout Cath’s career is the belief in the ability of connections, relationships, and networks of support to help bring about lasting change for people and communities.

Innovation Unit offers Cath the opportunity to work on some of the most complex, challenging social issues of the day.  With amazing colleagues and partners who share the same values and ambition.  

Much of Cath’s work is focussed on Greater Manchester, working to create a system wide focus on prevention to tackle entrenched inequalities. 

Cath is a natural networker and loves to connect leaders, practitioners, and communities to collaborate in new ways, working together on the knottist problems in real time, learning about what works (and doesn’t) in meaningful ways.

A skilled facilitator and coach, Cath helps navigate the entwined complex personal and professional landscape for individuals and groups.  Helping to make complex change happen, and stick. 

Cath originally trained as a social worker and has always worked with a wide range of not for profit organisations small and local as well as large and UK wide.  

A proud Mancunian, living in Manchester, Cath loves to head for the hills at the weekend and for holidays.
