About Alessandra
Alessandra has been a Service Designer with Innovation Unit since 2024, and works primarily within the Justice and Violence Reduction and Climate sectors.
As a Service Designer at Innovation Unit Alessandra works to creatively support social change through people and planet centred approaches and processes on a wide variety of projects. She is passionate about unpacking the social inequalities, behavioural shifts and communal context that sit behind complex problems, especially within climate action work. She believes in using creativity, imagination, and lots of post-its to bring people together and collectively unpick complex challenges. This includes using tools like empathy maps, blueprints, and personas to make problems and ideas accessible and visually engaging to diverse audiences.
Alessandra has a degree in Design Management from University of the Arts London, and has worked in design, innovation and strategy for social impact and creative sectors since 2020.
She lives in London, where she spends her time knitting, sewing and cross stitching, and hunting for the best pastries in town.
