Innovation Unit Australia New Zealand is looking for a superstar social innovation senior project lead and a fantastic people and culture advisor, based in Perth, Western Australia.

Senior project lead

We’re looking for a talented and passionate person to lead large-scale social innovation projects, predominantly in Western Australia. Our project leaders design and implement significant social change projects to discover, develop and scale new solutions for society’s most complex problems.

You’ll be using your leadership for change and transformation skills to create social good. We need someone with a passion for social change and the skills to make it happen, who:

  • has a strong track record of providing leadership to high profile, large-scale and/or complex projects
  • combines a subject matter expertise in education, health or social systems with a capability in social innovation or design practice
  • is a highly skilled group and team facilitator
  • has managed and accounted for your own and others’ time
  • has managed relationships with senior executives and senior public servants
  • has managed large budgets
  • has experience in delivering compelling written and visual communications to a final deliverable or publishable standard.

People and Culture Advisor

We need a team player with a passion for social change and exceptional organisational skills and experience to fill a short term, fixed term contract with us for a period of 3-4 months, beginning in February 2021.

The People and Culture Advisor will:

  • oversee the change management process as IU moves to award based employment arrangements
  • develop, review and apply policies and procedures and ensure they are relevant and compliant with legislative requirements and best practice guidelines, including OHS
  • provide confidential guidance and coaching to the leadership team and employees concerning policies, practices, employee issues, employee conditions, performance excellence, performance management, disciplinary action and conflict resolution.

We need someone with a passion for social change and the skills to strengthen our HR systems, who has:

  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
  • well-developed organisational skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and control own workload
  • demonstrated ability to undertake project work as directed and to meet objectives within time constraints and conflicting demands
  • experience in general HR practices and Industrial Relations, including moving an organisation to award based employment agreements
  • tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in HR or similar
  • previous experience in not for profit environment.
