The first Learning Paper from Innovation Exchange (Innovation Exchange: Supporting third sector through brokerage) makes the case for brokerage as a way to overcome barriers to innovation in the third sector, outlines key activities and shares early findings from the work of Innovation Exchange.

The latest Learning Paper from Innovation Exchange outlines its model for innovation brokerage for the third sector, tried and tested through the Next Practice programme. The paper shares stories of progress and impact from the innovation projects supported by the programme, which concluded in March 2010.

Innovation Exchange is currently developing an evidence base around the role of brokers and brokerage for third sector innovation. As it refines and tests its three core programmes, it is developing tools, methods and models that can be adapted by other brokers to foster and sustain social innovation.

Innovation Exchange's forthcoming Learning Papers will share insights and developing practice. The next installment is due for release later this month. It highlights the progress of the 15 innovations Innovation Exchange is supporting through the Next Practice Programme.

The internal learning programme also has an external evaluation component to validate the work of Innovation Exchange.
