Then why not come and join a small group of other local Mums at Mums-Power’s informal workshop next Wednesday 13th June, where you can help to develop a top-notch technological product that will transform the lives of Mums-to-be. We can promise drinks and snacks and £20 in high street vouchers for each participant as a token of our appreciation, as well as a fun and stimulating few hours.

Day: Wednesday 13th June

Time: 14.00 – 16.00

Place: UCL Partners, 3rd Floor, Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 7HA

Whether you’re a MAC or a PC user, a Facebooker or a Twitterer, if you’re a tech savvy new Mum or Mum-to-be who had or is having their maternity care at University College Hospital or Newham University Hospital, we’d really love to hear from you.

During the workshop we will chat to you about what kinds of digital technologies or platforms you find useful and why, and where you think there are ‘gaps’ in existing services. For example, would you like to be able to see your medical history notes online? Book appointments online? Or perhaps even be a 'Mum mentor' for other Mums via an online patform? And if we were to develop a brand new service or product, what would it look and feel like?

Don’t worry, you don’t have to bring a basketful of good ideas - just yourselves and a desire to be part of an innovative project that is trying to make a real and lasting difference to antenatal services in North London.

The Mums-Power team is a collaboration of midwives, doctors, innovation experts and designers who have been working hard over the past year to ‘close the gap’ between women and clinicians and improve antenatal services in two major London hospitals. We’ve already tried and tested a range of interesting interventions…now we’d like to get technological.

If you’d like to take part in this workshop, email Adam Preis at adam.preis@innovationunit.org. Places are limited and will be provided on a first come first served basis.
