Our apprenticeship programme

Our internship programme has changed identity. We are now offering an apprenticeship programme to reflect the robust and comprehensive nature of the programme as well as the level of autonomy and responsibility expected from our recruits. We are currently recruiting our first candidate - a Trainee Project Coordinator and Researcher for 9 months, £18,000 pro rata.

Despite the name change our programme is still the same fantastic opportunity to work for a small, creative team committed to using innovation to transform public services. We are based near Old Street station, a short walk from Shoreditch.

We are recruiting a Trainee Project Coordinator and Researcher to support project teams in the delivery of our varied portfolio of projects. You will have the opportunity to work across two or three projects from our portfolio. We have a diverse portfolio across health and social care, education and local government. We are looking for people keen to work in any of these areas but are particularly interested in recruiting someone with experience and a passion to work in education.

We are looking to recruit someone with great organisational skills and proven ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment. They must be comfortable dealing with stakeholders of all levels and have excellent written and research skills. We would like someone who has work experience, ideally a minimum of 12 months. To apply you will need to send a CV, covering letter and a writing sample on an aspect of public service reform or innovation that you are passionate about - 1-2 pages of A4 is a good guide in terms of length, something in the style of a blog post is a good guide for tone/style. This must be original - we will not accept extracts from dissertations or previously written articles. Please send to Kim Bosher - kim.bosher@innovationunit.org. We will not accept applications that do not contain all three of these components.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 23rd May at 12pm. Interviews will take place on the 29th and 30th May.
